SOCRATES ERASMUS PROGRAM

International-oriented education, especially in European countries, is a fundamental aspect for the future tourism professionals of today.

CETA has been a pioneer amongst Universities in Spain to establish European Programmes for Tourism students and teachers.

These scholarships encourage the students' mobility across European Universities, in a cooperative atmosphere, creating ideal conditions for the students to attend classes in another recognized European center, that will then be recognized in their country of origen.

ERASMUS - SOCRATES has turned into an important element of cohesion and deep knowledge of the European Union by having extended the knowledge of other countries' cultural aspects and their academic fields of study.

The young people who have taken part in this exchange program return from this experience with greater fluency in English and knowledge of the official language of the host country, a wider vision of the world and an international network of personal and academic relations.

Now that it's been almost 2 years since I finished my Diploma in Tourism, I can say that studying in CETA was a good decision. During my studies I received a personal and especially helpful treatment with my unusual projects. The most significant experience that I could do during my studies in CETA has been the practice in Austria and the proposed 6 months of practice I made last year in Tanzania, where I learned a lot, I gained experience in the industry and I was opened doors to work elsewhere.

And above all I wish to highlight the opportunities that the school gave me to study in Rovaniemi (Finland) with the Erasmus program. This experience has changed my life because I still live there and the quality of my studies in tourism has given me the opportunity to work for the third season as a tour manager in a local company. From now I hope to keep in touch with the school and thw opportunities that are given to graduates.
